Rust Mobile Closed Beta Set for Early November
Facepunch has confirmed that Rust Mobile will enter closed beta in early November 2025. The studio partnered with Level Infinite to publish the port, branded as "Rust, Anytime, Everywhere." Players can register for testing through the official sign-up page, and a beta FAQ addresses device compatibility, progression, and cross-play questions. No exact launch date for the full release was given.
Twitch Rivals Base Invaders and Kingdoms 3 Drops
A one-day Twitch Rivals Base Invaders event is scheduled for October 8, 2025. Competing creators will fight until one team remains, with Twitch Drops enabled throughout. One exclusive drop will only be claimable on the Twitch Rivals channel during the live broadcast. General event drops continue through October 12. Separately, the Kingdoms 3 roleplay event drops run across Twitch until midnight PT on September 30; viewers must link their Facepunch and Twitch accounts at twitch.facepunch.com/connect to receive rewards.
Community Videos Highlight Creative Play
Two community-produced videos were featured. "Hazzy & A Bolty," produced by B. Dolan with James "1030" Houston, is a music video filmed entirely on a live Rust server. "For the Love of Rust" by Monstera showcases non-combat sandbox creativity — building, roleplay, and artistic projects — that often goes unseen in standard high-PvP gameplay. Facepunch community manager Errn called the latter "really special" for capturing a side of Rust the average player rarely experiences.
Epic Desk Limited-Edition Deskmats
Epic Desk has launched a collaboration line of Rust-themed deskpads. All designs are limited edition; once stock sells out, they will not be restocked. The collection is live at epicdesk.shop/collections/rust.
Staging Branch Wiped for Patch Testing
Ahead of next week's scheduled patch, the staging branch received a fresh wipe. This branch lets players test upcoming features and content directly and feed feedback to Facepunch before changes hit the main branch. Details on what's being tested are available in the staging branch announcement post.
The update also reminded creators to share clips and builds via X or Reddit (u/ErrnieGerrn) for potential inclusion in future community roundups.
